The Recreation Centers of Sun City West brings back singer John Gamber as part of the Great Lawn Culture Series at 6 p.m. Wednesday, April 17, on the R.H. Johnson Great Lawn, 19803 R.H. Johnson Blvd. The event is free and attendees are encouraged to bring their own lawn chairs to enjoy an evening of song and entertainment. Refreshments will be available for purchase starting at 5:15 p.m. Crooner John Gamber is a local favorite and familiar voice, having performed throughout the Valley for many years. He began his career the evening his wife dragged him into a dinner theater audition (where she also performed) – and the rest is history! Upon moving to Sun City West, John was recruited to perform at the Skye Restaurant in Peoria where he opened for The Drifters, The Tokens, Jay and the Americans and many others. At his April 17 performance, John will sing musical selections from around the globe, which promises to be a wonderful night of entertainment.
