Author Saskia Tepe will present a program based upon her book, “Surviving Brigitte’s Secrets,” at 1:00 p.m. Friday, January 11, 2019 Palm Ridge Recreation Center Summit Hall B (138000 W. Deer Valley Rd.). Doors will open at 12:30 p.m. The program is free and open to everyone; tickets not required. Copies of Tepe’s book will be available for purchase at the event.
Tepe will talk about how her mother survived the Holocaust, as well as her own experiences as the daughter of a survivor, in post-war Germany during the 1950’s and beyond. It is an inspiring story of triumph over adversity, their struggles to overcome the deep emotional wounds of war and its aftermath, and how both rebuilt their fractured lives in the United Kingdom.
