Authors Ann I. Goldfarb and James E. Clapp, writing as J.C. Eaton, will be stirring up some fun with their latest Sophie Kimball Mystery, “Botched 4 Murder,” at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, January 30, at the R. H. Johnson Lecture Hall (19803 North R. H. Johnson Blvd). Doors will open at 10:30 a.m. This is the fourth comedy whodunit set in Sun City West and, as usual, it’s over the top with quirky characters and a few curveballs that are bound to make readers keep guessing and laughing. The program is free and open to everyone; tickets are not required.
Amateur sleuth Sophie (Phee) Kimball is at it again, only this time at the Sun City West Bocce courts when her mother’s friend, Myrna, is convinced she killed someone with a lobbed Bocce ball that managed to get into the adjoining golf course. Naturally, there’s a dead body, but it wasn’t a Bocce ball that felled the victim – it was a bow and arrow! To make matters worse, the community is all a-buzz with the latest proposal from one of its board members – turn the golf courses into eco-friendly parks. With more threats than imaginable, Phee’s worried the golf course victim won’t be the last.
Authors Ann and Jim have lots of giveaways and prizes in store for the audience. Please join them for the latest escapade in their series and lots of book-talk enjoyment! The event is free and open to everyone; tickets are not required.
