Following his recent decision to temporarily halt patrols by the Sun City West Posse, Maricopa County Sheriff Paul Penzone is planning a visit to the community to talk to residents and answer concerns.
As a community service, the Recreation Centers of Sun City West will host “Coffee with the Sheriff” 8 to 9:30 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 7. The event will be held at Palm Ridge Recreation Center, 13800 W. Deer Valley Road in Sun City West.
Sun City West residents are encouraged to attend.
I’d hoped to attend but I have previously made plans. I’m very much in support of the patrols.
“Coffee with the Sheriff” lacks a room at Palm Ridge.
I am left to guess it will be in Summit A.
But there are other meeting rooms so where shal we go?
Hi Randy. It is in Summit A and B. See you there!
Please have someone ask about the staffing level of 1.5 full time Actual Sworn County Sheriffs Assigned to SCW, SC and SCG as being adequate for many 10 tens of thousand residents. How does that compare with coverage of other communities? Wasn’t that the reason Possess were created?
Hi Lou. At this morning’s forum with the sheriff, all in attendance were supplied with a main contact regarding the ongoing Posse issue. You can reach Executive Chief John Bailey at 602-876-7785 or j_bailey@mcso.maricopa.gov.
